Cartoons Kick Ass!
This thread is for.......BIG KIDS, THAT REFUSE TO GROW-UP. NO HATERS ALLOWED.
Let's discuss Toons, Animes, Comics, Drawings, and all that good stuff.
@Dinny: I watched UP last week with my cousin and thought it was pretty good, in fact, I think the opening was perfect, and they didn't really need the other half of the film. It would have made a great short film. I also, just got finish watching Blood Plus, so, I am kinda out of Animes to watch.
I was joking around with my Sag friend last night, and we were talking about our favorite Cartoon characters EVER........
My list was sort of like this, after numerous revising ........
Huey Freeman
Eric Cartman
Sailor Mars
L
Stinkmeaner
Ikki and Shun
Uncle Ruckus
God, there were more, I can't remember the others.

The Great Mizuti (Baten Kaitos)
Saria (Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time)
Medli (Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker)
Kafei (Legend of Zelda: Majoras Mask)
Deku Link (Any Deku, for that matter) (Legend of Zelda: Majoras Mask)

I'm still on episode 8 of blood plus. I got sidetracked reading angel sanctuary. Anybody familiar with that?

@Mi-cuit: No haven't heard of Angel Sanctuary (I'll check it out). I can see why you are only on episode 8 of Blood, it took me about 10 episodes to FINALLY, get into that show. LOL
@Dinny: I am not surprise to see Fuji on your list. I don't really have any favorites from movies, maybe except, Dory (Finding Nemo), and Scar (Lion King), that's all I can think of for now. There was something I had to to tell you.......oh wait, now I remember.
I was going to say my favorite video game character, but I thought that would be kinda of random, but here he is, anyway. He pretty much shuts it down, and the Mario bros don't have shit on him, besides an overrated fan base (JK). I have some more favs, but they aren't as important.
I am also, ironically, a fan of Pepe Le Pew, and FiFi La Fume (she oozes...SEX). They're hilarious, always looking for love in the wrong places. Also, Renji, Rukia, Aeon Flux, and Jane (Daria). Oh, and I don't know how I forgot about this GUY, but he is by far one of my favorites, he would rip anybody head off in a sec.

Re: Cartoons Kick Ass!
My favorite characters have to be:
Yuki - The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
Mio - K-On!!
Mifune - Soul Eater
Alucard - Hellsing
Viral - Tengen Toppa Guren Lagaan
I dont really watch cartoons much outside of anime. The last real cartoon I watched was "Watchmen: Tales of the Black Freighter" That cartoon was... Really grotesque, and morbid, but also really good and interesting.
OMG! Also.
Suigintou - Rosen Maiden
I almost forgot about her, shes awesome.

I have heard great things about Soul Eater, and Hellsing. I also heard that Inuyasha was a great show as well. IDK, after watching Death Note, and Blood Plus, I am hoping to find a show as good, as those two.

Re: Cartoons Kick Ass!
I always ALWAYS start out with Kirby on Super Smash Brothers (until I get Ness. I LOVE ness). But seriously, Kirby is awesome! That little puffball can kick ass! I've loved almost all of the kirby games. I am especially fond of the crystal shards for N64. I also love Link. Majora's Mask was such an awesome game to play!
I am a big fan of the Guilty Gear/BlazBlue series of fighting games. A few favs:the guy possessed by sadako from the ring, the vampire girl who fights with her transmogrifying cat, and the requisite fast as hell super cool cat lady

Re: Cartoons Kick Ass!
@ Mking: Probably best that you don't.
@ Mi-Cuit: Our tastes are similar, I think BlazBlue and Guilty Gear are pretty cool too. I'm quite fond of the second image you linked to, even if I think her outfit is a bit overboard.
I was obsessed with Crystal Shards when I was a kid. I saw a trailer for it and I thought it looked awesome, but no matter where I looked, I couldn't find the game anywhere, so I didn't end up playing it...

You are just too cool, mi-cuit. This is why we see eye 2 eye.
Never played Guilty Gear, I wonder if it's similar to Darkstalkers,The game with the incredibly sexy Batgirl, Catgirl, and whatever this is?

That's a jiang shi, which can be described as a sort of Chinese hopping vampire.

(Also at Mking) Corpses, ARM, not vampires.
Yeah, that last character as far as I know was the inspiration for one of my favorite videogame monsters.
Re: Cartoons Kick Ass!
They're not vampires in any traditional sense, but they kill things to absorb life-essence. They're more comparable to zombies, really.

Reminds me of the difference between twilight "Vampires" and real ones.

Real ones don't look like Ashley Greene, but they do look like Kristen Stewart.

Re: Cartoons Kick Ass!
Bugs Bunny is the best cartoon character ever. Marvin the Martian is cool, too.
I know nothing about modern "cartoons" I have kids so I'm pretty up to date on the animated movies but we do not watch much television so we do not have cable or satellite. We are more of an outdoors people.

Re: Cartoons Kick Ass!
*roundhouse kicks this thread back to the top*
I don't watch that much television these days, nor movies, but these were always characters I enjoyed:
Uncle Ruckus (Boondocks): Put simply, with out Ruckus, Boondocks would be only half a show.
Brock Samson (Venture Bros.): He kicks ass constantly and does it with a cheesy blonde 80s mullet. Not much to hate here.
Guts (Berserk): What can I say? I'm a sucker for giant swords, and no one uses them better than this man.
Future Trunks (DBZ): No real reason other than the fact that he's just cool to me.
Eric Cartman (South Park): A role model for sociopaths the world over. The show's gone downhill over the years, but this little sadistic tub of goo still delivers the goods.
Homer Simpson: Do I really have to tell you why?
I have plenty of others, but those are the characters that come to mind right now.
Video Game characters:
Samus Aran: The original (and in many ways, still best) female protagonist in the series.
Link: Another classic video game hero that I will never get tired of seeing.
Sabin (FF6): A man that can suplex a ghost train without breaking a sweat is by far better than any other Final Fantasy character in existence. Also, his blitzes are Street Fighter moves, so he wins more points for that alone.
Ryu (Street Fighter): While there are plenty of fighting game characters that have deeper stories or fancier outfits, you just can't top Ryu's powerful moves which have spawn numerous clones throughout the genre.
Ky Kiske (Guilty Gear): Powerful, yet dignified at the same time. Also, lightning beats fire any day in my book.
Isaac (Golden Sun): I'm naturally drawn to protagonists, so he stands out in the game for me even though he doesn't speak until the second game. Also, he can become a paladin (alongside Felix) with the right djinn setup, and paladins are one of my favorite classes in RPGs.
My favorite vidya game character ever is hands down...
Mega Man! Other than maybe that weird Battle Network incarnation, there isn't an incarnation of this character that I don't love. He kicks your ass and then takes your signature move to go beat down your friends.
