Re: Sports
Here's a quick run down of Void/emmanuel, for those people who care about the science behind prize fighting:
emmanuel = pac
Orthodox = Right hander's stance, the left arm and foot stay forward
Southpaw = Left hander's stance, the right arm and foot stay forward
Void = FloydVoid always goes to the body against southpaws. He'll throw left hooks
to the liver, right uppercuts to the liver, and straight rights to the
pit.
You guys talk about how being a southpaw is an advantage for emmanuel,
but an EXCLUSIVE disadvantage for southpaws against orthodox fighters is
that their liver is close to the orthy's lead hand. It doesn't make
sense not to go for body shots there when fighting a southpaw.
People think Judah REALLY had Void's number at first, but Void was
committing to the less flashy body offensive in the first few rounds. Judah
kept falling for the same ol' lead fall in right hand to close the
distance and create an opening for Void's left hook to the liver.
Rewatch the last 3 rounds of May 1st. Void chose to throw right uppers
to Mosley's body over head shots. He took his foot off the gas being
moar content to win a decision instead of going for head shots trying to
KO Mosley. It was all right uppercuts to the solar plexus.
I even expect a certain part of his beat down over emmanuel to take
place inside as Void wisely places his body shots. Emmanuel doesn't
really have any inside fighting game, and he's not the best body
puncher. He just stands there with his hands up and his shoulders
SQUARED; this will negate the angle advantages of being a southpaw.
emmanuel = pac
Orthodox = Right hander's stance, the left arm and foot stay forward
Southpaw = Left hander's stance, the right arm and foot stay forward

......And don't get me wrong, he can throw down, Buuuuuttttt I may not be the biggest boxing fan in the world, but what I do know is that "the best of the best" boxers all share something that he lacks......Power and Control. He's style of fighting would probably be better suited for....let's say....The UFC (MMA) sort of thing. IMO. Maybe I need to see some more of his matches, but the one that I just recently saw......I AM NOT IMPRESSED.

YES. I watched it yesterday. You could tell from the beginning (including that goal they made ~ the third minute), that Ghana is much better than the US. I don't usually follow football, but it looked like they were way faster and the footwork looked a lot more impressive. I don't know if I'm the only one, but it looked the US were just jogging around the first half (slight exaggeration).

UGH! How can anybody, and I mean, anybody? defend this man's action. Let me just pull out some quotes, that actually makes sense.
Hats off to Dockett, for actually understanding what football is all about. The point is that Haynesworth is a lazy, egotistical, selfish, bastard, who thinks that EVERYBODY is on his time. I just hope that he takes his head out of his ass, and show the FANS what a real 100 million dollar man looks like.
Btw you know what really pisses me off? and this is dealing moreso with Synder, and the former GM. The fact that there are guys on our team, that's been playing for us for years now, yet, they somehow still haven't seen close to 50 million, then you have this lazy motherfucka, who just came in last year, and produce ABSOLUTELY SHIT, and he has ALREADY seen 45 million dollars. He played like, what....8 games? and I think I am being generous on his ass. I understand why our team thought it was only fitting to pick him up, but they also have to understand that Tennessee didn't want to keep him, because they knew that; this "supposedly" once a legend, has finally ran out of gas. I just wish we could have understood that before we picked him up.........so much for the saying "one man's trash....."
p.s Ray Lewis, go sit your ass down somewhere, because nobody's trying to hear that shit.
UGH! How can anybody, and I mean, anybody? defend this man's action. Let me just pull out some quotes, that actually makes sense.
Darnell Dockett wrote:"These guys are going out balling every day, showing up to OTAs and
camps that's not even mandatory, and we've got to come and put down our
work, and show these teams that we want to get paid," Dockett said. "And
you've got a guy that is one of the highest paid defensive tackles in
the league, and not even showing up? It's like, man, you're making it
harder for us to get paid. Now teams looking like, why should we pay
this guy $56 million when the other team just paid this guy $100 million
and he's acting the way he's acting? I feel insulted by the man."
Darnell Dockett wrote:"I'm a football player," Dockett said. "Let's let that be told. You
can put me in any scheme, I'm gonna find me a way to make a play,
because that's what i know how to do. You can put me in a 4-8, 3-4, 5-6,
2-11. Whatever you put me in, I'm gonna make a play, because that's
just how I am. I'm not gonna complain about it. and I love the way
London Fletcher said football's gonna be played with him or without him.
It's not about you, it's about trying to win championships....
"For the highest-paid player on the team to have that type of
attitude, man, that's cancer through a team. I just feel like they're
doing the right thing, keep on moving, but even if he do come back, he's
gonna have to earn respect from the guys in the locker room, and that's
gonna be tough....You got the highest-paid person on the team that
don't want to show up to a mandatory camp and he just got paid $21
million three months ago. Me personally, I could never stand next to a
guy like that, because I don't know where his mind's at, and he looks to
me like he's selfish."

Poor, Vick. The man just can't seem to keep a low profile, for nothing. If he would have just celebrated his birthday at HOME (like throwing a party or something), he wouldn't be caught up in this situation. He probably feels like everyone's out to get him, and that couldn't be any further from the truth. These QBs need to learn how to stay out of trouble during off season.

I don't mind catching that fight, I am not going to throw any parties for that one, tho.
I have seen a few Martinez's fights, and they aren't bad, but they aren't party worthy either. As for Williams, I want to see if he can prove me wrong.....I still believe he is very MMA material.
Leon, remember this picture I show you......

His fights were party worthy. He did the most for the sport business wise. Having a sexy face like that helped him sell tickets to women. I remember women would wait outside of his press conferences, and then throw their panties at him as he was leaving. What a handsome man.

Ahh, seriously? Never trust a man with a thin upper lip. Or a moustache.
