That pretty much describes me as well. When I hear my own voice I think I sound like a gay redneck. My father was German, my mother is from Scotland and I grew up in a small, rural town. I also talk very fast and mumble a lot...usually. Sometimes I speak very clearly and formal.

Late but, don't you have an imagined/internal voice when you read sentences? I just meant that when I read posts, the voice inside my head just sounds like me reading it, whereas I know people who actually ascribe certain voices to people (unintentionally of course, just from their impressions).
As far as what my real voice sounds like, it's right there on the short video I posted, but I can assume a much more formal tone. I don't know whether I sound middle-schoolish, but I do know that my voice isn't easy to drown out whatsoever. I speak loudly and clearly and I enunciate.

What were you talking about in that video? I don't remember.Dinny wrote:PapiChuloLeon wrote:You read out loud to yourself?Dinny wrote:I read everyone's posts in my own voice.

Something I've noticed as of late, my voice changes depending on my mood.
- When I'm happy, it'll go from one vocal range to another. It's a bit higher and the words are not pronounced as well as other moods, I also speak at ridicolous speeds.
- When I'm sad, my voices is slow and the level of accentuation is incredibly high. Rather low and slow.
- When I'm incredibly angry, my voice has a rather forceful tone. Blligerence is it's middle name, pretty much. I accent everything perfectly too. Try and imagine the Queen getting really pissed off and angry, you're pretty much on the money there!

I figured this would fit best in this thread, although it has nothing to do with my voice, but Dr. ARM's (as well as partially Arikus' lyrics and his guitar riff).
Quick and dirty backstory: Dr. ARM and Arikus are sitting in the car at an intersection. There is a fat, black man standing at the crosswalk with a gaudy silk-screen shirt with flames on it, as well as a tattered cardigan tied around his waist. He had two afros. As he passes on the pedestrian crossing, he made a gun with his hand and pretended to shoot Arikus. And so, this story was born. There is also ARM's interpretation of what this guy looked like.
The file: https://secure.filesanywhere.com/fs/v.aspx?v=8972678b60606fafaf67
The "lyrics":
If it were me, I'd have done a "Double Rainbow" parody, but made it "Double Afro". 'Woooah.... Oh wooow.... double afro.... what does this mean?! Ohh man... ha ha ha! It's almost a triple afro, oh wow!'.

- Spoiler:
I saw a man the other day.
Or was it a woman?
It's hard to say.
We found him on the side of the road.
He wasn't slim, I'll tell you that much!
(In fact, he was quite fat)
Upon his head was a fluffy black ball, no more than 5 cm tall.
On the back of his hair sat a cottontail... this man had a double afro!
Upon his shirt, written in flame
What text was there?
(It's all the same.)
And lo! A second shirt!
Tattered and worn to temper the flames of unknown words (F-R-O)
With his pace quite slow and his fro in tow
Moving across the street and turning his head, never missing a beat.
With an outstretched arm, an inverted kill shot
(Such a feat!)
He shot Janker in the passenger seat.
We sat for a moment... unsure of what to say.
BuNafro was already on his way.
With laughter so great and belief so low
The light turned green and we vacated the scene.
We never knew where he went that day.
His actions unclear.
His afro... legendary.
We will never... never forget BuNafro.
If it were me, I'd have done a "Double Rainbow" parody, but made it "Double Afro". 'Woooah.... Oh wooow.... double afro.... what does this mean?! Ohh man... ha ha ha! It's almost a triple afro, oh wow!'.

Hahaha, mi-cuit, I'm glad it amused you as much as it did me.
Re: How do you think everyone's voice sounds?
Yes, I'm of the mindset of reviving old threads, but there you go.
Now that I've had a chance to talk to a few people from here on Skype, I can add input.
ARM has a voice that reminds me of a friend of mine back in Maine; a light and melodic voice that can alter itself simply enough.
Arikus didn't talk a whole hell of a lot but his voice is fairly deep, but not overly so, sort of like how I imagine my voice to be.
Dinny's voice to be honest seems a tad out of place with her face. It's got the classic Australian way of pronouncing certain words, but it sounds closer to a British accent, and it's a tad lower in tone than I would have imagined. I know she's self-conscious about it, but there's no need to be, trust me, your voice is fine.
As for me, well, I don't like to describe my own voice since I have no idea how I sound to other people, so I'll let other people that have heard me explain it if they so desire.

Re: How do you think everyone's voice sounds?
@ ArgentFang: My accent probably isn't Australian. Virtually every Australian I speak to asks if I'm foreign, and usually I'm mistaken to be English or American (yes really -- ARM didn't believe me when I said people mistook me for an American until a bartender asked me if I was).
Saying my voice is a touch on the low side is good. ARM and Arikus have said I'm high, but when I hear my own voice (not recorded, just ordinarily speaking) I sound lower than most girls.
In any case, in all probability, my face and voice don't match.

Also, "melodic" the best word to describe ARM's voice by a long shot. When he's happy it almost has this singing quality to it. Reminds me of people speaking in the "romantic" languages and what they say about that.

Love it. I seem to recall your voice somewhat from your YouTube channel. You're so cute.
Edit: I have no idea how Tycoon gleaned you sounded angry, lol.

Your guess is as good as mine. Regardless Star, your voice is quite nice and if I'm ever so inclined, maybe I'll put something up so the non-Skype users can find out what I sound like; but let's face it, it's a lot more fun to talk to people directly.

Thank you both very kindly.
Argent, I'm actually quite curious to hear what you sound like. Hope you'll be able to put a clip up somewhere for us to listen to.
